Tracie Reilly Occupational Therapy (OT) provides specialised OT assessment and intervention for children from birth to 6 years of age in the Geelong region and outreach OT in Shepparton.Tracie Reilly OT is a mobile therapy service, providing therapy in your child’s natural environments, including home, kindergarten and day care. We know children learn best when participating in everyday activities with the people they love.Tracie works collaboratively with the team around your child, including speech pathologists, physiotherapist and teachers / educators to ensure consistency and learning of new skills.How can Tracie help?Tracie works together with you and your child to help you do the things you want to do. We will work together to identify what is most important to you and your family. Alongside discussions with you and your child’s team, both standardised assessments and informal observations of your child will be used to gain a greater understanding of their strengths and skills, and what areas you would like help with.During therapy appointments, we will build your confidence and skills to continue the ideas practiced between sessions. We know new skills practiced many times in a child’s natural environment supports learning. Biography

Tracie has been working as a paediatric Occupational Therapist for over 10 years both within Australia and abroad. She has extensive experience in early intervention, NDIS and developmental monitoring for children born premature.

Tracie strives to develop relationships that make families feel supported and empowered throughout their journey. She is known for her empathetic and calm nature, ensuring that every family feels their voice is heard.

Tracie is passionate about working in partnership with families and therapy teams to provide evidence based and specialist neurodevelopmental assessment and therapy for infants and young children. She understands collaboration is key to achieving the best outcomes for children and their families.

Tracie has completed additional training in:

  • Bayleys Scales for Infant and Toddler Development (4th Ed)

  • Learn to Play Program

  • Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA)

  • Screening Hand Assessment in Infants (Screening HAI)

  • Hanen for Early Childhood Intervention

  • Functional Hand Use for Children with Unilateral Cerebral Palsy

  • Foundation Paediatric Bobath Neurodevelopmental Therapy

Tracie is a registered practising Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of Occupational Therapy Australia.

In her spare time, Tracie enjoys camping, fishing and gardening with her husband and son. She also enjoys bike riding, yoga and cooking.

Shepparton Occupational Therapy

Tracie Reilly OT is returning to Shepparton in August to offer a 4 day intensive program. Initial appointments are 90 minutes to allow time for a thorough case history, assessment and goal setting to be completed.

Subsequent appointments are billed at 60 minutes and typically run for 45-50 minutes, with 10 minutes of notes/ correspondence/ resources.

As outlined in our service agreement, 2 business days notice of a cancellation of service is required. If a late cancellation of less than 2 business days notice is given, the entire fee for the appointment is charged.

Yes absolutely! Initial appointments are completed at home or telephone. Subsequent appointments can be held at home, day care, kindergarten or school depending on your child’s goals.

Day cares, kindergartens and schools will be contacted with your consent to arrange an appropriate day and time to visit.

Yes! Tracie Reilly OT accepts children with self-managed or plan managed NDIS funding.

An Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan helps to coordinate health care for patients with chronic conditions and complex care needs. If your child has had a health condition for more than 6 months, they may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for Occupational Therapy services.

Your GP completes the referral and assesses whether you are eligible for a care plan. Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 appointments per child each calendar year.

If you wish to claim a Medicare rebate, you need to provide Tracie Reilly OT with the supporting documentation at the time of your appointment. Following the session, you pay the invoice and submit through Medicare online for the rebate to be placed into your account.

If your child is listed on your private health fund, you may be able to claim a portion of the appointment. This will depend on your level of cover and your individual health fund.
